Gaptech group buy!

Finally got around to fitting my unit, worked first time

Sorry to hear you are having problems Imario, unlikely but maybe the unit is at fault

Seems a silly question but have you checked that there is 12v at the cig lighter connection ?
Also does the roof still work from the buttons?
Yes and yes. :-)
And those are no silly questions, so thanks.

Unit at fault is the last thing that i want to assume.
But it did cross my mind.

Solved!!
The blue vampire on the continuous 12V barely bit through the isolation.
A new one and all works fine!

While i was at it i decided to install the bleutooth audio/aux interface i bought a while ago.
works perfect too.

Let spring begin !!! :D

Started at 5pm, finished at 7. Me and electrics do not mix! For all those that completed this in 30 mins, I doff my cap! Chuffed to bits with the end result :D

still haven't fitted mine yet, BUT.... as i had some issues with a broken top mount and rear shock poking through and causing issues with the roof tray, that's all now fixed with some new Bilstein B4s fitted i got the roof tray all back in and set up correctly yesterday and had the roof down today so will try and get this fitted and wired up 1 evening this week or at latest next weekend.... cant wait!

Another one for the RCH+

Please PM me when this goes ahead as I don't often visit this part of the forum!

I'm afraid you've missed both boats on this now - you must visit this part of the forum more often, it's great!

Hi,

I'm an planning on soldering mine probably this weekend. Do I need to disconnect the battery?

Cheers...

I didn't disconnect and all was well. Up to you, might be better to be on the safe side.

Finally fitted mine!!! Took a few attempts with the supplied connectors and I actually gave up and pushed everything in to the compartment with the intention of leaving it till tomorrow to solder..... And it started working haha

Fitted at last! It took me three hours in the end... First cut was quite painful but went down the inline solder route in the end so didn't need to cut the loom!
We've got a trip to St Andrews this coming weekend so hopefully get the chance to use it!!!

Did this happen? I would like one.
Yes, this did happen (a quick read of any of the posts on this page would have told you that! :poke: )

Good luck with the hunt though.

Bugger! Have tried to order from the site numerous times. Seems like the PayPal link is iffy. Have no idea why it isn't working. Will persevere.
