Anyone else done anything like this?

Me and a mate are giving it a go, just for the laugh really.
Theory is if you start with £10 and place bets on 1/10 shots every time, if you get 73 succesful bets you'll have £10k.

My mates blog is here: http://gototletitride.blogspot.co.uk/

I'm going to start on the weekend :D

Sorry to be the voice of doom but it's never going to happen. As my only source of income is playing blackjack,i'd love it to happen for you but the odds are very much against you.

The bookies always win... I should know... I work for a company you provides them with the software solution... :)

Haha, to be honest once (if) it got to £1k i'd find it very difficult having the balls to carry on with it, anyway, but it's all just a bit of fun really, whats a tenner amongst friends :D

Get to 1k and split it over 2 bets. If they both come in, carry on, if 1 or both don't, stop!

Aii don't expect it to be easy or straight forward, otherwise everyone would be doing it and making a mint :D

Worth a try though, will be interesting to see what happens if I get into any sort of big money.

I did something similar with a fantasy share dealing account about 2 years back. Started with an (imaginary) £10k and managed to get it up to over £90k in 2 years. I then felt confident to play the stock market with some of my own money.

To date I've lost nearly half of what I put in :(

i dabbled with the stock market some time back and lost more than i care to think about.

since then i've invested in 'safe' funds, it aint made me a fortune but at least i've got more than a started with.
