G3 PERMANENT Scratch Remover Liquid?

I have used some G3 PERMANENT Scratch Remover Liquid on a small scratch on my boot probably caused by a key and now the surrounding area paint is dull I suppose due to the abrasive element of the G3. What I need to know is what to do now, is there a permanent way to get the shine back or will I have to wax or polish all the time to get rid of the dull paint?

Is a respray the only sure way to get rid of scratches? no magic potions available in Halfords or Amazon to permanently sort this problem out.

I'd suggest photographing it as best you can so the more experienced polishers amongst us can comment - i'm guessing if its just dull paint then simply machine polishing will bring it back to like-new again.

Thanks for the reply, would machine polishing be a permanent fix or would it have to be redone on a regular basis?

I don't know how people get away with using sand paper 2000/3000 grit it must dull the paintwork even if you wet sand.

After the treatment, you definitely need to polish the area with a reasonable abrasive polish and an orange / white pad level for the machine.

It will come good though, permanently as well after the polish.

what pvr said.

It's dull because the paint is finely scratched, polishing will smooth out the surface back to a shine. Once done it'l stay that way.

Think of it like polishing a concrete floor from rough to smooth - it wont go back to rough again over time (unless you make it rough).
