Went to have a look at a new z4 4.0 a few weeks ago to see if it should replace the trusty 3.0i. Nice but I came away with this......

When I went in to a dealer to look at one he enquired why (presumably in the basis that I should be buying an M car)! and I said “I like the doors”. I am not an eco head at all but this car is fantastic. It will depreciate like a stone but I am pleased that I got this Valencia launch car (eg fully fully loaded) from bmw uk for less than 60% of list price. It has 1300 miles on the clock and is 13 months old.

Really like the look of these, a bit different from everything else on the road but totally impractical if you want to keep it in a single garage.
 
Did you mean a Z4 m40i that you went to look at?
Also, isn't Valencia an orange colour or am I off on my i8 colour chart?

Regardless, congrats on your purchase and look forward to some more pics and details, once you've driven it.
 
Yes I meant a M40i. And I meant that this car was one of the cars used by bmw uk to launch the i8 roadster to the media in Valencia in July 2018. It was used by drive tribe and another journo only before going back to the Doncaster storage facility
