Nice to see Z4 out today. Most convertibles we spotted en route had their roofs up! Don't understand buying one and then not dropping the roof whenever you get a nice day. It wasn't even that hot today up here so that's not an excuse.

I do not get this. Every opportunity recently to have to roof down even for short drives.

Have you not experienced a day yet where you've had the roof down for 2 hours already, and then you concede that you have to close it a) because you're becoming sunburnt. b) because its so bloody hot you need the benefit of cold Air-Con.

I'm afraid I've been there and it is embarrassing
I refuse to be beaten by the great ball of flame.

I’ve got ginger skin too so I burn just looking at it some days!
Baseball cap and sunnies and deal with the sunburn the next day. Persistence. Even if I spite myself

Good morning so far!! 2 G29s spotted. 20 plate M40i in SF red just outside Warwick by the M40 funnily enough!! Pulled alongside and got a wave!! Then 5 mins later another SF red going south down the A46. Went by too quick to identify model!! Lol!! That’s more than I’ve seen in 3 weeks!!

Extremely belated, but I found myself parked next to this gorgeous M40i recently in Chipping Norton 😁😁

Well having driven 1600 miles across Europe in the last 12 days... we’ve spotted 3 G29’s. Two red ones and one frozen grey one. Thought there may have been more.

They really are quite rare!

Today I saw a 1976 E9 CS
Amazing!

Haven’t seen a Z4 for a while. Maybe everyone has buffered off to Europe for a driving break! 😂

I think there are at least 3or4 Z4's in my town, most are 20i's they are pretty popular here, since they start in the same pricerange as a normal sedan, even the base models are nicely equipped already, and taxes in belgium are pretty low with the 20i engine.

Spotted a white Zed today with a personalised plate started L88 I think it was. Around lunch time on the A325 flyover in Frimley, Surrey.
Caught it out the corner of my eye at the last second. Didn’t see what model it was
First I’ve seen in weeks!

Spotted again today, white 20/30i L88 reg
Any one seen on the forums?

Not seen this L88 one around. Will keep my eyes peeled though.
Still not seeing them out. Drove from Farnham to Weston S Mare on Saturday and didn’t see any Z4’s, let alone G29’s.

Im on a roll now. Saw a misano sDrive on the M25 this morning junction 11-12
Followed her for a mile or so
Lovely colour “in the flesh” 👍🏼

Blue m40i 20 plate on Loughborough ring road today about midday. Lookin' good :)

Overtook me before I saw it, I was in my white G29. Two G29's in close proximity, doesn't happen often.

Blue G29 just gave me a big flash and wave as I was driving into Bridlington on the way home, good to see. I dont think I've had a flash and wave like that since my Morgan days, you definately dont get it with Mercedes!!

Regards all

John

Good to know that the G29 owners are flashers and wavers John. I’m yet to pass one to try this out. :D

White M40i (I think) driving up Castle Street/Castle Hill yesterday afternoon around 3pm.
Private plate ending ‘HJC’ I believe.

Just saw a G29 driving into Malton in Misano Blue, got a flash and a wave and a grey E85 heading into Sledmere, again I got a wave.

We are a friendly lot up here in Yorkshire :)

There will be a Misano Blue M40i going from Bracknell to Cairnryan (and eventually N.Ireland) on Saturday with a very happy ginger driver. Two coffee stops planned at Norton Canes and Southwaites services. Should be a good first drive
