G29 Market watch

The are still offering peanuts!
This monkey isn’t falling for it - when the time does come to sell I will advertise it on here as I’m confident I will be selling a good car and with the Bmw warranty in place and all the ticks in the service book

I would always emphatically encourage people to sell privately and walk into the dealership with cash not a car. They will always try to massively underpay. Your car (if you wanted to) would sell well and without much hassle Ron, there doesn't ever seem to be many 35iS on the market at any time

I’m not sure what is happening across the pond, but in the US virtual dealers are offering good prices based solely on a virtual appraisal and seem to be changing the market I sold my Audi TT to Carmax for almost $4000 more than I expected a dealer to offer. No haggling, they paid the Internet appraisal. My wife priced her Honda CRV with Carmax (again higher than I appraised) and walked into the BMW dealer and they met the price (there is a small tax advantage to trading instead of selling privately).

Not much discount for an almost 6 month old one with a couple of k mileage and limited option packs.

Like the 35’s there’s quite a limited supply, a few more 2nd hand ones on the market this week, and holding their money well, and only 3 new unregistered ones

Someone posted on here recently about the Supra and I dont think it was a good report.
There's a 19 plate Supra round the corner from me at Maserati Hamilton 600miles on the clock and just under £47k in dark grey, does look a bit of kit in the flesh... something you would look comfortable in dressed as batman! :cpilot:

I looked at them last weekend, funnily enough a grey one too, and I didn’t really like the look of it. In fact thinking about it now, not been enough to warrant taking any pictures of it.

Saw this right enough and was impressed with it in the flesh 👍

Another 6 month old with 5K and a few options packs appeared today. VERY close to the price of a new one. Supply and demand I’m guessing.

9 months ago you’d have had this car circa £40k

Compared to this fully loaded, unregistered one at £52k OTR. If the AUC isn’t including RFL then the difference is even smaller

Went with my girlfriend as she was buying a mini.

They had a beautiful m40i in grey. Stunning.

Still prefer the faster blue colour. ;)

I'm sure these were only a little over £35k last year...

I'm convinced that car makers have underestimated the demand for roadsters (or they've just decided they aren't worth the development £££) which are now being produced in much smaller numbers. The UK used car market used to be saturated with roadsters, but their numbers are in constant decline at the moment.

If I'm right, and BMW/Audi/Merc follow through with their plans to shelve the Z4/TT/SLK after the current versions to focus on electric SUV's ( ) then I reckon my 35iS will, in ten years time with 95k on the clock, be worth at least £30k

I didn't buy a Z4. I invested in one

Lovely as the grey is, you wouldn’t want to loose that 20 mph advantage the blue ones have

I bought my fully optioned M40i with 5k on the clock in October for £36k. I could probably get damn close to £40k if I sold right now.

I had been watching Alfa 4C's and they have gone up about 8k in the last 18 months. There head been a few for sale at £32k and now I don't think there is a single one under £40k. Again, similar story with the 6 pot Caymans.

If that's the case I expect that the government (UK at least) will start taxing cars according to weight instead of emissions

More than 40k. Webuyanycar latest offer for mine is 40,365

Insane. If it hits 43k I’m selling.

For the first time in at least 4 months + there are no new unregistered M40i’s available to buy on BMWs site in the U.K.

In the US it's a bit better, there are 21 M40i's available and 35 30i's. (Although the closest one to me is 600 miles away, I lucked out finding an M40i near me).

Ok. That’s it. 2nd hand price is insane.

Webuyanycar are offering me 41.5k for my car now. I’m ordering a new one and will drive my little electric for a few months.

Will put it on Autotrader for a few weeks. What price you reckon??

Misano blue with shadow line, comfort and tech packs. 8,000 miles on the clock?
Stick it on for 44-45k?

Why is the price so high though, if people can just order new ones for a little bit more?
Is there a problem with availability when ordering new?

   I quoted you in another thread earlier and said if the price of yours increased anymore you’d be ordering a new one

Have you tried the dealer yet for a trade in price?

There’s a blue one in Douglas Park with almost double the miles and light on the options

What about that site Wizzle that’s been mentioned a few times recently where dealers bid on your car and can set a reserve and if it doesn’t meet that you can withdraw it
