PS: Im sorry for the phone format of most pictures, but they were meant for instagram :P

That's lovely op.
As said, a hint of Merlot Red to it, but think this is
more purple.
It looks superb.

What mods you done to it engine wise, to get the power up., Just a re map or more?
Also, are the front grilles m4 ones made to fit, or aftermarket?

Thank you, they look a little similar indeed, i think this color is a little lighter and shifts from really purple to almost red.

Engine wise, i only added an eventuri intake to replace the default intake and resonator (made nearly 25hp/50nm difference before and after, on an already tuned car).
Then i replaced the cat with a 200cell one and then switched out the midpipe for the midpipe of the us model, and kept the stock rear muffler but they opened it up and modified it.

Then stage 2 tune, I think with some tweaking 500hp should be possible, but we were a bit pressed for time, its currently sitting at 462hp/700nm.

Frontgrille is aftermarket, comes from https://diversionautomotive.com/
IF you have a colored car, you have some stuff poking out, i endedup painting them black and now you dont notice it anymore :)

Raven, Didn't even notice that in the pictures, until you pointed it out, but with the bit circled now painted black it obviously works.
They do look good, and we'll priced too.

Some nice engine mods, and the joy of turbocharged cars, it's fairly easy to get good Power gains without spending silly money.

500bhp should be easily achievable on it, given what you've done so far.
These engines appear to be good for 550 to 600 without much concern, but 460 to 500bhp is probably more than enough.
Sometimes too much power isn't always a good thing.

Like some of the fast Ford guys you see at car shows, running 800 to 1000bhp engine tunes, with serious money spent, and the chassis struggles big time, and by the owners own admissions, the turbo lag is noticeable, with such big turbos, and round town driveability is so so at best.

Think your car is great looking, and must be quite nice to drive.
I think if BMW started offering Individual colours like this and some of the various Blues, Reds, Oranges etc they do, or have done over the years, they would be very popular options.

As such though, you have a very smart and unique z4.
Really is a cracker

True even if they were still colored purple, most people probably wouldnt notice. But when its your own car, those can be the little things that bother you. thats why I mentioned it :)

Very true 460 is already a little scary at times :)

Yes indeed, the individual gamma has some very nice colors in it, its a shame it's not possible to add them from the dealership for the G29 :)

[ref]raven[/ref], very nice colour. Looks so great.

About the engine power increase, I'm wondering whether you've done anything to the gearbox? Our G29 is using the 8HP51 gearbox and ZF rated it to 500Nm (or 550Nm? can't remember exactly) input torque. The factory engine torque rating is 500Nm which is within the gearbox rating. Since you've increased the torque to 700Nm, which is 40% increase in torque, I'm not sure how the gearbox cope. Whether you've strengthen the gearbox? Or whether you rely on the already existed over torque protection software to limit the torque from engine? Or maybe simply the gearbox is capable to handle this increased torque despite ZF only rated it to 500Nm?

Wow. Just wow.

Out of curiosity, do you need to notify dvla of colour change and is that a complicated process?

I have not done anything to the gearbox (hardware wise), not sure if the tuner did anything special.
So far no issues, im sure there is some margin on that stuff :)
