FYI: For those who have changed their TPS (throttle position

Before my inspection 2 service I spoke to the specialist about the TPS sensors which I had changed to cure the hesitation. Now when I had done this I just bolted them back on without a second thought.

I was told there is a small amount of adjustment for the TPS at the front of the engine on the throttle bar when the screws are slack and should be calibrated with the help of a diagnostic computer. The specialist offered to do this as part of the service.

Whilst the valve clearance needed quite a few shims (too tight) the throttle response and idle pickup are better than ever since the service has been done.

Done at a Main Stealer?

No I followed MMMfives recommendation and went with an independent specialist (DARJAC racing, Halstead - Essex). The three main dealers nearest have been difficult to deal with and generally lacklustre.

Very pleased with the work Darren has done, records provided and thoroughness (photos, shimming details and calcs, custom fast road geometry which has tempered the under steer). I learnt a lot about how the car is built and it's foibles, would definitely take my car there again for servicing and bigger maintenance jobs.

Glad you found Darren helpful, and he's doing my suspension overhaul early next year.

Only downside is that he can talk your ears off if you let him :P

Don't tell him I said that or he might shoot me next time I see him

I've recently changed both of them in order to cure the hesitation problem.
After that I executed the recalibration cycle; 10sec full contact, 10sec 'off' then start engine.
Hesitation behaviour changed a bit for the better but not yet the way it should be I think.

Strange that it still requires manual calibration but I will look into it, thanks for the advice!

Now you mention it, I did see some 'do not touch these screws' paint on the front TPS
