Where do you guys see the value of these cars going say in the next 3 years.

Ie: a 2010 35is with 35k miles seems to sit at around £20k

Given the release of the new gen z4s drawing closer, where do you guys predict the future values of these cars based on the above?

2017 - £20k
2018 - New z4 release, will this knock prices?
2019?
2020?

Thanks

The market is transforming rapidly with pressure developing on personal budgets for used cars like this at these sorts of levels in the UK, plus with the stalling asset speculation I can see a a whole raft of capable but none-specialist cars like the 35is gliding gracefully downwards, just as all complex and expensive to maintain cars like this have ever done.

Sadly the E89 wasn't hailed as BMW's greatest and it doesn't carry the cachet of the 'hand built' ///M so is probably destined to become a sleeper bargain in a few years time (which is good news for us tight-wads  )

I'd guess a good £20k car will be £16k in 2020, but hey who really knows :idunno:

I don't think the new model will dramatically slash the prices of the old model.
They will be very different cars in very different price brackets.
The existing model has a hard top and the new one has a soft top which does not appeal to everybody.
I will be looking at this with a biased view obviously as I do not want a soft top but it seems like a backwards step to me going back to a soft top after people getting used to a hard top.
