So when is all this awesomeness going to happen?

Well i tend to move at a snails pace. I have had my clutch and hydraulic steering sat in the workshop for 8 months now :o
But the supra had been taking up all of our time. That is now finished but i have a baby due any day!!!
I will do the clutch oil cooler steering and oil pump water pump belts and thermostat. Plus oil filter changes over the winter. And i think i will have the cash to buy an engine early in the new year. I plan on using the car all year when i can and build the engine new head gaskets ARP bolts and do a good clean up and check it over. Maybe start putting it in winter 2017 so no big rush.

I am looking forward to having the engine on a stand. Cleaning painting and making bits for it over the summer. I have a manifold to copy for the S/C and also an adapter to copy for bolting on the gear box. Plus pulleys catch cans engine mounts and other bits to keep me busy before i can think about putting it in the car.

So it looks like i will be going V8 not turbo.

Do you think you will be able to keep functions like airconditioning or alarm/central locking etc?
Different engine means different compressor (or at least some thought in it) and different ecu means different/no EWS/hacking I think.

Air con will work I hope may even use the BM condenser and gibbons.

The electrical stuff my friend Ben will be looking into this for me before I start or buy anything. He has the knowledge needed and I am making lots of bits for him. So he will owe me favors

Have one of them in the workshop too!! But it's in a nice standard supra that will be for sale soon. Just skim read the first page. I will enjoy the rest later thanks buddy.

That E39 bay looks pretty nice to work with!

Not sure I'm helping, sorry... :P

I shall have a good read but from what i can tell very similar to what i would be doing. Just using a different V8 and a supercharger the 1uz will sit happy with head gaskets and studs at 500-600 bhp :D

But engine mounts sump gearbox adapters and a intake manifold will have to be fabricated. All stuff i can do. I have a a fried ECU available to me. That my friend Ben is going to fix (he is something to do with the brand i dont want to say to much on that until if it happens)
