Fun Roads: Surrey & Sussex

Might nip out to 'refresh the fuel tank' either Sat or Sun AM early early this weekend, thought i'd see what roads people suggest from their more local (or z4 meet) knowledge!

Any suggestions? Or anyone wana go for a spin?

I live in SW16 so typically heading south leads me to somewhere between Jct6-10 of the M25, so some sort of loop that lands me back in that region is ideal!

Ahem.

Go to Google maps. Link up the following in this order:

Newlands Corner, Ockley, five oaks, Wisborough green, Petworth, Duncton, Goodwood, cocking, Midhurst, Fernhurst, haslemere, Milford, then jump on the a3 home.

Done :)

Just don't promise the other half that the milk will still be cold by the time you get home...!

I would be up for joining you but very much suspect my wife will have plans for us involving no doubt me and some sort of flat packed furniture assembly.... Newly married life....!

EDIT: ugh and I've just seen your signature - your car is literally my perfect spec, dammit I'd have loved to have come along! I'll see if the wife maybe wants to play keep up in her M135i - I'll report back!

It would be rude of me not to be interested in this - The route suggested is very close me. What sort of time are you looking at? If early then I'm potentially in!

Sorry - I should have stated that Sunday morning is good, tomorrow isn't as I'm taking the Discovery for its MOT tomorrow.

If it wasn't for the rugby season starting this weekend I'd be on this like a shot :driving:

Balls - looks like only tomorrow morning is good for me now :( Perhaps again another day this month if it goes well..

For what it's worth - the first leg of that journey (Dorking -> Newlands Corner via Ranmore Common) is a brilliant road, will definitely do it again. Beyond that we made it down to Ockley and back up the A24 to the M25, so not too far travelled but great fun nonetheless.

As the organiser of our first meet at Newlands Corner I was waiting to see what the weather forecast might be like for a Sunday in a few weeks time. Would be good for another meet before the weather starts to deteriorate.
Hope we might get another good crowd - 12 Zeds the first time!

It would certainly be good to meet at Newlands Corner again. Diary permitting I am up for that!
