Well, to update this thread, we’ve spent hours looking at various 4 seaters and couldn’t get excited about any of them.
To add insult to injury, 2 of our 4 children (I have 2 my partner has 2) wanted to do their own thing this weekend and the younger 2 (both 10 now) are starting to go down this route too...
My partner loves the look of the Z4, but doesn’t like driving it because of the low driving position and long bonnet, so we started to look at 2 seaters she might be more comfortable driving... so she could take her mum out for lunch etc.
Might be picking up an alternative from the dark side later this evening

Yep, 4 seat cabrio's are a very different prospect to something like a Z4. My E350cdi cabrio is a lovely place to be... and great for a longer journey... but it doesn't compare to my old E85 for fun/performance.
