Full Top Gear Lineup announced

The old combo worked - even for those who didn't like Clarkson. We had three motoring journalists who had found a magic formula (although it was getting long in the tooth). They're not disappearing so the Beeb had to do something different... Of course, apart from lining each other's pockets with licence payers' money, nobody there had a clue how to create something special and, instead, they have cobbled together a smorgasbord of personalities who like cars which will cover all bases and give a little 'something for everyone'. There could be some surprises, but the thought of almost any of of them reviewing a Toyota Avensis makes me cringe... (in more ways than one)

They could have paid me a licence fee or two to come up with something better than this... Give the girls a go! Find three talented but diverse journos/drivers (such as V B Henderson) with great synergy and some carte blanche... and let it happen. Simples!

Whatever anyone thinks about Chris Evans he has been successful,at everything he has done. I think that he is just one of those people who we love to hate.

Looking forward to the seeing Top Gear again and hope that it rather more cars and rather less silly than the previous version became.

I agree and have always admired Chris Evans' ability, but he does seem to get more full on as time passes...

Would TG have been as successful if it had been just about cars?

When the show gets back to actually talking about cars instead of boys acting like hoons it might be worth watching. Not sure about the new team but anything or anyone has got to be better than the last three.

I stopped watching top gear after a few seasons (2005 or so). Before that I stayed home for it, but it became too much of a repeated joke.
I only watched snippets of it (powerlap tests, supercar reviews, or the more serious car reviews in general), but I was bored with the 100th version of taking some beatercars not to the peruvian jungle but now to the venezuelan jungle where not James' gearshifter was stolen but his left rear wheel...
Luckily they realized after 6 years that the 1000th clip of destroying a caravan just wasnt as funny anymore as the first 999 ones...

When women start watching car shows and talk about it in the supermarket, you know it's a bad program with very little information.

So for me it can only change for the better

Why the Rory guy? I just don't get it? From looking at some of his reviews, he couldn't drive a greasy stick up a dogs arse!
