Anyone have any thoughts on fuel. I detected a trace of pre-ignition after filling up with E10 at the weekend top down. Couldn't detect anything top up but just wondered if others run on E10 fuel or E5.
 
When I had my g29 I always used super anyway.

Maybe just let the ecu get used to and adjust accordingly?

Knock sensor should detect onset of pre ignition before it occurs & adjust the parameters to combat it :thumbsup:

Tis here to stay for all the right reasons and the engineers tell us the cars can deal with it. The rest is history. Hopefully your Zed will adjust accordingly, not noticed any thing on Super as yet. :driving: :thumbsup:
 
When I bought the car in Sheffield, I filled up with e10 as there was no choice, car seemed fine but of course didn’t know it that well. Now back in Devon only use e5 and seems to be okay on it.
 
As I am doing very limited mileage in my e85 3.0 and have decided not to sorn it this year I thought it would be better to keep using E 5 and not take any chances.

Yep, it’s e5 or completely ethanol free (although they can’t display this) depending on where you buy it :thumbsup:

Premium unleaded isn’t the same as super unleaded, super unleaded is either e5 or completely ethanol free depending on where it’s purchased from.
Normal unleaded (sometimes called premium unleaded) is e10.

It has to say that, but doesn’t mean it is e10.
I know esso supreme is ethanol free in most of the country.
