Fuel pump

Hello people, How easy is it to replace the fuel pump on an E85 2.2i. I'm assuming that it's broken as when I turn on the ignition it makes a load droning noise for a few seconds and them carries on when I start the engine. Pelican Parts gives it a 5 star difficulty rating and looking at the "how to do" I think it's beyond me. Just hoping it looks worse than it is. Thank you, Mike.

In that case I'd try some Redex first!

Bit awkward as I’ve got a mechanic coming next Tuesday to have a look at the car. Still might be worth a try.

Thank you all for your advice but having slept on this I am worried that using Redex will just cover up a problem that will come back later to bite me big time, stuck out somewhere in the dark without a phone signal. With the car moving closer to 90,000 miles and 22 years old and the pump making a sound like its struggling (to me) I have decided to let the mechanic have a look on Tuesday, more for my peace of mind.
