Hi there. Only had my zed for 2.5 months and have had a breakdown on the m25! AA came out and did good and traced it to the fuel pump. Had an indy lined up to replace the pump, they diagnosed it was a fuel pump as well. But have been let down by them. So have decided to give it a go myself. Have just got my replacement fuel pump, but am a bit confused.
Have searched this forum and other forums, and also noting skipkillers comments, the fuel tank doesnt need to come off. So....
1. The first question is locating it, I believe its the same side as the filler cap (right side - drivers side). Underneath.
2. To get access to it - the exhaust needs to be dropped, moved out the way.
3. Removing the outer sleeve? Is it a screw fit
4. The fuel filter is the bit that comes out, and just tucked inside is the pump. Does it clip onto anything.
I have tried to find shipkillers link that works for the diy walk through cannot find.
Also the realoem link doesnt show if its hooked inside(see link above)
And found another link with the outer ring pic. But again not sure if this just unscrews. (See link above)
Sorry for the dumb ass questions.
Any guides tips would help.
