Fuel points. Which is best.?????

Hi

Pretty much what the title says. Which company have the best reward system for buying fuel from them.??

Stupidly I've been getting through £75-£100 a week in fuel ( company vehicle ) for the last 3 years and never bothering to collect any points.. :cry:

I think BP give Nectar points - useful if you shop in Sainsburys, and even if you don't your mileage will buy you a large bottle of JD once in a while.
 
I sat down and worked out at some point that with my shell card I need to spend about £500 to receive £2.50 off - whether or not this is still current is unqualified.

However I presume most others are the same...
 
Worked it out - £100 per week at the BP pump will get ya a large JD every Christmas. Not much really, but better that a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
 
The Tesco clubcard system works well - we get lots from the points system (make sure you read through their booklets and once you know how to work the system you can get double and triple points value for goods - they send you vouchers you then use to purchase things - we've used them to buy lots of goods ). They also have occasional cost reduction on the petrol (up to 20p a litre off) if you spend a lot in Tescos.

Lol that sounds good. 5k for a bottle of JD thou.

Guess they don't really give much away these days ..

Was leaning towards the clubcard to be honest. :thumbsup:
 
Nectar worked out good for me when we used BP for work fuel,points can be collected at various outlets and redeemed at Homebase,etc.
I wasn't really bothered about the amount as it was all a bonus to me.......Morrisons now and no points on a business account.

You have to go through the process of using the vouchers - it's not just straightforward - but once you understand it, the effort is worthwhile. We have bought quite a few big items via their on line sales, as well as paying for cheaper things like magazine subscriptions right the way to tickets to large events and fun parks. If you can be bothered there's a lot to be gained from it.
 
I got a shell card and set it to donate to the rspca automatically. I spend alot on fuel and it helps the doggies. :thumbsup:
 
Depends which is your nearest/local petrol station. Bit pointless going out of your way too much to save on cards if you can get it for less whilst passing on the daily commute to work. Even if petrol is only 0.5p a litre cheaper, this will ALWAYS outdo ANY loyalty/clubcard scheme of vouchers in instant savings. I get 1 point per litre of petrol and need 500 points to get a £2.50 voucher off petrol at Shell, therefore a very poor reward scheme!

I didn't know you could set it to donate! will have to get that changed.

I only ever fuel at shell, so never looked anywhere else for points...
