Gr3etings from Mr. PW of '07! :P

To all that wish to really understand what is going on here,,,,,bugger off. No one will truly understand.
I went from the PW King of the forum, when it had a very small following of international friends that have always liked to banter about, and warned Sp3ctre about my deciduous ways upon him asking me to be a Moderator. "I would not change my ways" , so I spoke! But upon realising the burdensome toll and bandwidth that is taken upon such unfulfilling quests, I gave up my quest to be the PW of Year. I gladly passed this onto PhilDZ4 at the last HC, and honestly hoped that the one-upmanship would slowly die down.....

I was wrong in that respect, and after having vigourously defended the right to PW within the "Lounge" area, it apparently has become a necessity for the members to venture blatantly beyond those bounds. It was fun playing with you all in the beginning, but it has now turned into an outright chore trying to contain you all, and still keep this a coherent Z4 Forum.

My 2 F'ing pence

BTW, did I tell you that I quit smoking this week

If people want information on Z4's, they should go to a car site. This site from its beginning has been a social gathering for folks who enjoy the same car and have similar tastes in comedy... Folks at bimmerfest and zpost don't have the same warped sense of humor - blame it on Phil

I have to admit in the last few days it been a real PITA going down the new posts just trying to find something Z4 related. I didnt want to turn on the lounge filter as I also like some of those, but not to the extent we have seen recently.

As others have said I use this forum for Z4 98% of the time , but as other have also said the newbies with their attitude are as bad if not worse.

agreed! I too have got frustrated with a few US posters irrelevant posting like a DJ's conversation; 3-4 words at a time. I want a repository of quality Z4 information. If you want to play games go elsewhere!

I think their post titles, and their location in the Lounge area, would suggest they were not of the 'repository of quality Z4 information' variety :D

Best to just ignore I think...

Bandwidth concerns aside of course. How about fining users with over 500 posts a month or something? £10 for the bandwidth :D

The problem is most of our users user the "new posts" function, myself included. Once the old 2007 posts were all dug up on top of the existing ones, it became unusable in terms of finding the topics of value.

Up until now we have allowed the forum to pretty much moderate itself, and it has done very well like that. One or two topics are easy to ignore (hell, I have ignored the single word thread for over a year!), but 7 or 8 nonsense topics being constantly bumped spoils it for everyone.
