Brand spanking new ZHP gear knob - arrived yesterday (finally) - just as I sold the Z. Not used at all - ordered from the US via eBay - cost £40 + £15 customs charge. Make me an offer

No, the old knob just lifts off and then you push this one on, I had it on mine and it's a great mod.

not sure if im allowed to hijack, but i too have one of these up for grabs as i sold my Z today(best upgrade i made on my Z), anyone else wants one aswell PM me.

Is yours 6 speed as well?
 
it is indeed 6 speed, mine was used on my 2006 z4 2.5si Sport. as im sure you have already read, totally transforms the gear change (i was skeptical too) because its shorter it drops the distance in shifting by just over an inch adding a much more positive feel.
