FS: Uprated anti-rollbars.

Moved from my other FS thread, as everything was getting a little muddled!

One conversion I never got around to doing before the zed left me, was the uprated anti-roll bars, which I have just retrieved from the garage who had assembled them. The ARBs are from an E46 M3. The front and rear ARBs were both second-hand, but have just been powder coated. This conversion has been done elsewhere before. Here is the spec sheet for the Z4 3.0i (this is the same for the 2.5i too, so far as I can tell):

and here is the one for the E46 M3:

All the parts are the same aside from the ARB and bushes. Brackets, etc. are all identical. The standard Z4 runs 24mm front ARBs, sport suspension runs 25mm - the E46 M3 runs an even beefier 26mm. Here is the assembled item, which the garage said should bolt on nice and easily. Comes with all new brackets, bolts, blue Powerflex polybushes - and a brand new (unopened) pair of Delphi (non-OEM, but quality) links (p/n 31356780847 on the diagram).

I'll sell this one complete for £45 plus postage. The Polybushes cost £30 on their own, let alone all of the other bits. It is very heavy - postage could be about £15, I'd guess - will firm it up for a buyer. Happy for someone to pickup...

The rear hasn't yet been assembled fully. It is a 21mm bar and needs special bushes to fit the Z4's brackets. I bought a set of Powerflex PFR5-504-21 bushes, but the garage said that it would be a tight fit - probably because of the powder coating. They could probably do with PFR5-504-21.5 bushes. Because of this, I'll sell this one for £30 plus postage. It's not quite as heavy - probably £10, but I'll firm up that price too...

Will post a pic in due course, but here are both disassembled:

Any interest, please PM me

Does the extra 1mm make much difference? I'd like them, as I'd like to reduce body roll further, but its a rough ride as it is  :headbang:

The simple answer is "I don't know", as I never fitted them to the car. But, given that they are E46 M3 spec whereas the Z4 M Sport ones are the same as the E46 M Sport, I guess it should tighten things up nicely. The Powerflex bushes should make a difference on their own, but given that the front ARB has to come off to fit new bushes I figured that it was probably worth doing it all at the same time...

Anyone interested? If there aren't any takers, I may have to strip off the Z4 parts and sell the ARBs back to the M3 community!! :)

Dam this bloody website!! I will check my bank account if they are still around by the end of the week I will take it off your hands!! As for postage if I where to buy them could I pay you and pick them up? But it might be a while the wife's family are from Porthcawl. So we do drive past you from time to time from Oxford.

Are these still for sale?
The front bar has gone, but the rear is still available... this is the one that may need some adjustment of the polybush to fit, according to my local garage.

If Alun dose not want it. I could possibly have a few extra ££ at the end of the month.

Thanks agin for dropping the front off. Haven't fitted it yet just had new tyres so wanted wait and get used to them. Then fit it and feel the difference.
