Hi,
If these are still for sale then I would be interested in buying them. I can collect from you this thursday 18th.

Thanks

Well what a waste of time and fuel!!!!! :x

Not trying to be funny but this sale was ridiculous!!

I spotted 2 nails in one tyre (one had gone through) and one nail in another tyre, I spotted them in the dark, it was very dark (One small light in my Big van at night time)!!!! You stated in your advert "These have never been repaired and are in good condition"

Richard, you didn't even check the tyres properly after they came off your car. Even if I sold tyres to a random complete stranger I would have checked the tyres for condition and safety. I would never treat a fellow member the way this sale was conducted. 3 hours round trip for nowt!

Even if I genuinely accidently managed to put a buyer in this position I would have insisted they take fuel money at least as a good will gesture.

If I was naive I could have potentially put dangerous tyres on my car. :(

I'm very upset, I’ve only just joined this forum - I hope other members treat each other with a bit more decency

My only consolation is I pick up my new Z4 tomorrow :)

Richard, if you decide to sell the two dodgy tyres can you at least inform your buyer beforehand.

out of interest how does the runflats work on the z? If I was to pick up a punture would I get some sort of warning on the dash telling me I have?

supro, not every1 on here treats ppl that way
i recently was selling a set of 4 rft's that i had bt from another forum member,on wheels that i wanted, and decided to sell on the tyres
had agreed a sale, only to get the tyres off the wheels the day of pickup,to discover repairs on 3 of them
i then refunded all but £35 of the buyrs cash!!

so we aint all bad,mate
enjoy the forum :driving:

He did too!
Very very nice chap that I wouldn't hesitate to buy from again. Unfortunate for you that you found someone so dishonest. Interesting, too that Broaders hasn't been back into this thread to defend himself! Could be a genuine mistake, but I would imagine whoever took the tyres off would at least have noticed the nail that went all the way through and said something to him.

I appreciate that Craig,

Car specific forums are about community and helping each other out. I've joined and have learn't a lot about the Z4 so thanks to all the members and mods. Likewise I hope to help other members where I can.
I'm not here to slag someone off - it was just so visible there were nails - I saw them in the dark. Just had let some steam off.

Neil - Yes, Sensors will pick up the change in Tyre pressure and a flashing warning light will show. This may just turn out to be low pressure so if you check the pressures and adjust and re-set the warning light first - If it comes back soon on the same tyre then there's a puncture.

Thanks,
supRo

A great shame something like this should happen but let's remember there are 3722 users of this forum and inevitably some problems will occur. However before we all condemn Broaders lets give him a chance to respond.........

Just catching up with the forum chat after being extremely busy with work.

As with all of my sales on here and on ebay, I have always been completely honest. Anyone who knows me would be shocked at anything less.

The tyres came off my Z4 last summer. I collected them from the garage fitting the new tyres and put them in the garage. I rolled them out to photograph them and rolled them back until Supro came to pick them up.

In hind sight, I should have inspected them thoroughly as Supro did when he came to pick them up. I assumed as they were not punctured when on the car, they were fine and I did not spot either screw / nail while moving them about or collecting them from the garage. All four tyres held pressure perfectly, I had never needed to blow any of them up.

This was an honest mistake on my part and I am sorry you had a wasted journey Supro.

To my knowledge, you will find no time wasters on this forum and it was never my intension to waste yours.

Broaders.
