Always fancied an alacantra steering wheel, but not sure a) if it will look ok in a leather interior, or b) if these are decent quality. Anyone used this seller before, or have a view on the listing ? Seems a very reasonable price if you have all the buttons, airbag etc. not sure I can afford it at this time of year, but someone on here might fancy one.

looks like you need the non M Sport wheel bottom spoke which could be a bit of a problem.

Bu66er - good spot... I thought the m sport bottom would just be a cover for the two spokes. In that case, not for me...

Looking at this again srhutch - are you sure ? Shouldn't I be able to just take the covers off my current steering wheel and fit them to this ? The 'skeleton' looks the same :?

I got my ///M wheel from these guys. I needed both replacement spokes and MFSW buttons and so got them to supply which they did at good rates. The buttons and spokes were of course brand new and the ///M wheel was perfect.

I paid around that price iirc, but it was in Euro, buttons, trims, etc. so I can't recall the final figure

Thanks cj10jeeper - might ask them what they would do as a package, as the front trims on my wheel are quite shiny where the matte has rubbed off. What do you reckon to the alacantra ? Could it look naff with no other alacantra in the car ?

Happy to help. Def worht asking if they can get the bits you need and that way you know oyu have a full set.

As for Alcantara. I suppose it's personal choice. My preference is for that only if it compliments the rest of the look and feel of the car and how you have customised it.

Personally I'd go with a leather ///M wheel given you appear to have a classy combo of black/red leather interior rather than track focussed look.

I had a JCW Alcantara wheel in my COOPER S. It was nice when new, but after a while, you start picking bobbles of it. It progressivly got worse, and eventually that material gets harder.
-Especially as you keep tuggning the bits of it, try to make it smooth again.
I would not do it again. it`s ok if you got a track car, works wonders in your hands.

I`m sure the darn thing gave me OCD. I would go for a (chunky) leather M Sport Wheel (one day)!

This wheel look just like it`s been re-trimmed from a standard wheel.
You could probably get a re-trim of your own wheel, at a local specialist, maybe even cheaper!

Think you're both right - not for me as it wouldn't go with the interior and I'd get OCD too. Probably already got it - the matte rubbing off the button inserts is driving me mad...
