FS: OEM M Sport Suspension parts - have done 75K

Hi all,

So basically this is the same post as adam1985’s all be it with parts that have done a lot more miles so not really sure of their worth. What I have is four shocks, four springs and the front top mounts.

I will get pictures up after the weekend (sorry, I’m going away this weekend so won’t have time) but I can give you a brief idea now.

The car was on 75K when they were all removed and I believe these to be original (judging by the condition). All springs are present however on some of them the protective covering has come off so rusty metal is showing. They’re not broken but not their best either. All four shocks are present however the NSR shock had a broken bump stop before being removed. This meant that the dust cover had slid down. Basically the shaft has been open to the elements so its possible grit could have got into the shock. I am not sure how long it has been like this but it was picked up in my MOT in June. There is also various places of rust on each of the struts.

In all honesty I would probably only use these as emergency parts, i.e. if you’ve broken yours and you need something to get you by. Being on 75k I cannot say they are in great condition.

I’d probably ask for £50 max but open to offers. I can post but the cost probably makes it not worth it as it weighs a ton.
 
could possibly be interested once photos etc are up... ive discovered my car thats meant to be sitting on m sports stuff.... is actually sitting on standard springs etc so looks like its on stilts. currently negotiating with another forum member for a full set of springs so not a definite yet
 
No worries and if its the other M suspension stuff in this for sale section then personally i would go for his as they are in better condition. I'll get some pictures up on Monday and you can make your own assessment then. I'll clean the road dirt off of them so it shows up the rust as much as possible.
 
nah its not the other set in here (that only has 1 rear spring aswell) but will wait and see when the pics get uploaded :)
 
tbh at this stage im only after the springs, earlier in the year i replaced the rear shocks with some bilstein B4s and just realized recently that the springs are wrong so just want to replace them so it sits lower and more of an acceptable height. the fronts i haven't even looked at yet but suspect its worth checking and prob also replace for m sport as its likely they will also be incorrect (guessing previous owner just purchased a "set" for z4 not realizing m sport are diff) so if the P&P costs are too high and your prepared to split might just be worth sending the springs alone? (thats if it works out much lighter?)
 
Can do. I've looked at the shocks last night and in all honesty I think they are past it. The NSF shock could be easily pushed in and out by hand so I wouldn't suggest using it anyway. I did get some pictures so I'll pop them up in about 30mins.
 
One of the springs is this one (halfway down the add). Didn't use it in the end.

So here are some images of the springs and shocks. I firstly must apologise that I haven’t cleaned them up, I am a naughty person I know.

In all honesty I might just throw the shocks in the bin unless anyone wants to collect them for free. They don’t look like they’re worth saving in my opinion. If I don’t hear from anyone within a week or so, off to the bin they go!

I’ve also looked a bit closer at the top mounts and these are also a bit shot so these have already gone in the bin, sorry.
