Just sen this...... :x ......If you dont sell it Chris contact me..
Andy.

I reckon of you offer the OP the asking price you'll get a shot at it Andy

x2. I don't see issues with this.

If OP had taken a deposit/ made a deal as to the selling price then maybe not.

But a sale isnt agreed yet. Fair game imo

I imagine if a potential buyer is on the way there it will sell....if not I'm sure Chris will contact me and I can go see the car... :driving:

Haha - I love the way you guys all come out of the wood work, after I have just let my car drive off the drive for 9750 :( - if I didn't have a loan to pay, and the tax wasn't coming up I would have kept it...The fall in value I think has a lot to do with the tax - people just don't want to pay that kind of tax for a weekend car :(

We were just encouraging plowy - glad you've sold it, but man, that guy got a bargain. Hope you pointed him - or her - at the forum

I think you're right, tax and perceived maintenance costs will put people off and although it looked smart dark blue is a 'no no' in the trade (AKA deadly midnight blue) but it' sold for cash in the pocket so enjoy the new car :driving:

Search me, but it always makes me laugh when a colour is described as 'rare' which actually means unpopular with new car buyers unless it's some sort of limited edition. I'm sure there are makes/models where it's prized (Rolls maybe?) and I like it but dark blue is unloved in the trade :|

Glad you got what you wanted Chris...it's not a case of coming out of the woodwork soon as I read the forum thread at the end I dropped you a line...only been looking two days,,,wasn't meant to be so maybe he next one..

my goodness that was low..... :o

I feel for you Chris, if it was in silver I would have paid an extra £500 on top of the sale price....still out of the way now...

it was low - the guy was a trader from oxford - a very nice and honest guy, and if you are interested, it is likely they will put the car up at a resonal price - PM and I will pass the garage details over.

Plowy - I think you are right, it wasn't meant to be, although we both wish it was!

Think I slightly miss the car already....

£3k markup, still not an unreasonable price tbh... But yeah, some bargaining to be done by an interested party.

plowy :D
