FS - Modified ///M Silencers with MM Exhaust Tips

To save some weight and stop the wife moaning, I've decided to bite the bullet (and expense) and ordered a more "subtle" exhaust system from the US which should be here in the next 10 days or so. I'm therefore selling my silencers which were modified 500 miles ago by our very own Machine Monkey and had his stunning 76mm exhaust tips welded on :)

It's difficult to describe the sound, but I hope this helps.

Cold Startup - Definitely louder and deeper
Below 3000rpm, much deeper and and louder. No drone.
1/2 throttle and more above 3000rpm it turns into a much raspier and louder noise than before
Warmish startup - A little louder and deeper.
Creates a lovely burble noise and occasional popping on the overrun once warmed up

To avoid potential damage to the exhaust tips, collection in the Aberdeen area is preferred. Another option is I'll be down in Manchester on the 16th and 17th May and would happily meet with the buyer to conclude the sale, but would request a £100 deposit in advance to secure them.

Price is £350 which I think is a fair reflection on the price of used set of OEM silencers and the work carried out. Alternatively, we can work out a deal if you'd like to exchange your OEM ///M silencers.

Sounds awesome

Not sure my wife would be impressed either though

Well, why not. It's a whole new experience being able to at least be interested in - and have an opinion on - things specific to my new car :D

I would need to give you bigger socks to clean those tips Bing

Deposit taken based on an exchange.

Sold to me :) was good to meet you Graeme and thanks for putting the hard work into swapping over the silencers. Got a chance to experience the noise on the drive back from Aberdeen to Glasgow. Pretty much stock but a bit deeper below 3000rpm but goes a bit mental when the revs rise :D I really like the sound.

Also MM''s tips are really good and it looks and sounds like he did a quality job on the silencer mod.

Cheers

Mark

Pleasure to meet you too Mark. Apologies for being a little slow with the hangover, thankfully it got progressively better through the day :)

Glad you're happy with the exhaust, hope I haven't made a mistake. It gave a lovely pop between first and second changes as you drove away.
