FS Inline water filter for water spots READY TO SHIP

I agree, good results. I would still be happy to buy one of these from you with the view that it's a prototype and would certainly give you feedback on it.

On the question of Flow vs total filtering... I would say total filtering.

Ditto....some pics of filter itslef would be good, and when will u be making enough of theses to sell to every1 who wants one,and final price, etc??
Would be interested in ordering 1

Being in London this would be VERY ideal. Good work!

Not read the whole thread, so might be repeating what others have said, but the ultimate solution would be if you could clean the filter in a descaling solution? Would something like that be possible?

Thanks for the brilliant feedback everyone.

Just to answer a few questions...

1) There is a small photo of the product itself in my initial post, I really dont want to provide any larger image until I am ready to sell for IP reasons but its small enough to store with ease and very light.

2) The filter itself is a consumable so will need relacing after x amount of washes (results of what "x" is to follow very soon). This is one reason why I have been working on making them much cheaper than the current products (which also wear out) as paying out £60 for something which is then thrown away is shocking but throwing something that cost £10-15 away is a bit more bareable. I tried to make then refillable but once the seal is broken they cannot be resealed - its amazing how much pressure standard mains water places on the fittings. Regeneration of the filtration material is also ruled out as it can only be undertaken at a industrial level due to some nasty acids which need to be used.

3) I should be able to manufacture the first batch for shipping by the end of next week. I dont want to make a decision on price until I know how many washes the product can do before running out.

Hope that helps guys

Regards

Andy

This is what this forum is all about, someone who is willing to do something that will help the rest of us and to get something a lot cheaper, fair play to you mate

Eleflo/All, thanks for the encouragement. I only want to make a little on each to compensate for putting them together on a rainy day. :driving:

Peddy, No thread on detailing world - do you think they would let me? I know they are really strict on any sort of non affiliated direct advertising.

I was hoping word would get out by someone posting on there eventually as it would be an invaluable forum for feedback, marketing etc It would certainly let me get a feel for the size of the market and hence wether to bulk buy which would result in a lower price for all.

Yeah, they can be a bit strict on detailing world. I would be happy to promote it on the Audi A1 forum which I am now a member of. :D

Liking the look of this, would definitely be interested

If you make it out like you are just researching and just want people's opinions then I would think it would be ok no?
Once you're ready I could start a thread and recommend your product or something along those lines?

I will begin shipping these units a week on Monday (17th October 2011). Payments should be made to my pay pal account [email protected].
