Finally, my seats are up for sale....

During the process of having my new M seats fitted, the forward / back motor on original old driving seat has now stopped working. So, they're going to go cheap. Passenger seat is in perfect working order. Drivers' seat has the usual bolster wear (see pic).

So, I'm looking for around the £125 mark for the pair, which should allow the buyer to source a replacement motor, which I guess is what has failed. I'm not sure how I could send these, given their size, so its probably going to have to be collection only. I'm in South Wales. Feel free to make me an offer!

If I were sending them it would be two packages... I'd seperate the upright's from the base's, place the base face down on the upright and bubble wrap the crap out of them! lol
Then www.interparcel.com... Probably cost around £10 a seat.

Just bubble wrap and tape the hell out of them and give a courier a call. They won''t cost as much as you think.

Ps. Can't wait to see pics of the new seats. I've been waiting months.

You and me both.... hoping to finally pick car up early next week... once they've sorted the airbag light

I have tried to have a look for a replacement motor but to no avail. How much would I be having to pay for one? Also, could you tell me how much I could get for my standard seats if I put them on ebay for example? (roughly of course)

Cheers and GLWTS

I've been told that the seat motors are the same as the E46 3 series, which makes sense - hopefully someone on the forum can confirm this. These seem to come up on eBay for £30-ish. Real.oem lists the part for around $100, so I would expect about £70 from a dealer perhaps.

The retrimmers are pretty sure it is the motor that has failed. They swapped over the side control unit to the working front seat and the forward/back movement worked OK. So, it would seem that either there is a loose connection somewhere on the seat base (which they couldn't see) or the horizontal movement motor has gone kaput...

If anyone is interested in the seats individually, let me know....

Here is a new photo of the passenger seat, back home with me... drivers' seat to come back tomorrow!
