Hi all,
First let me apologise, unfortunately due to a family crisis soon after posting the advert I've not been around until now to sell the item.
The item is still very much for sale and comes complete with the accessories and the original asking price will be honoured.
Please do get in touch if you're interested, the item is available to collect from the Epsom area.

Thanks
Dave

Hi,
I have a genuine BMW hard top in stirling silver. I have the allen key, side and central covers, instruction manual and soft storage cover with stand off feet (not pictured as it's hanging on my garage wall).
Roof is in perfect condition apart from two tiny spots where the paint has rubbed, these are under the lip of the roof and are not noticeable.
I could've easily touched it up and it would never be noticed but I wanted to present this as is, also I was going to get the whole thing resprayed as my car was silver grey (see below).

I sold the car so collection from Epsom, Surrey only.

Looking for £750.

Here are some pictures:

This is what it came off (I miss it)

There is some colour confusion here! You've kind of said it's not facelift Silver Grey. It looks to be pre-facelift Sterling Grey in the pics. Certainly does not look like Titan Silver. I've never heard of Stirling Silver before.

Damn good price, if I hadn't got one already I'd be all over this, and with all the bits

Good luck with the sale

Stuart

If it's a facelift car then it's silver grey if it matches the car. They didn't do facelifts in sterling grey. I'm guessing Stirling is a typo. As 85genius says, best to check the paint code.

Sorry for the confusion guys, I'll check the label and update this post.

My car was a facelift version in Silver Grey.

Cheers
Dave

Have you checked the code yet - if it is Sterling Grey I would be interested .

Sellers car was Silver Grey and he has said he was going to get hardtop painted to match it so this pretty much confirms it is not facelift Silver Grey. Does not look anywhere near Titan Silver so it's a knocking bet that it is indeed Sterling Grey. Which is as we all know the un-disputed king of pre-facelift Zed colours!

OP was going to confirm the colour a week or so ago but has not done so - thought may be he had second thoughts or has already sold it - TBH I'm no longer interested - as it looked like SG and was cheap I thought it was worth considering but looking at pics of a roadster with a hardtop , to me , it doesn't look right - looks like what it is - an add on . As I have a garage and don't take it out in the rain I don't think it worth having one . If you have no garage then I can see the attraction .

Anyway good luck to the OP if it's still for sale .

You buying it Colin? definitely a worthwhile addition to the car over the winter if you keep it parked outside

That was my thinking too James. Thing is I was after a gloss black one really, but this silver one may look good on bright red?
Problem is I can't find any photos of red Zeds with silver hardtops :headbang:

(I'm guessing you're still playing the waiting game regarding your pay out?)

Not too expensive to get it resprayed, when I was looking for my hardtop I was quoted £80-£120 depending on condition, but then bought one that was vinyl wrapped in matte black so just kept it that way, so just buy it and if you don't like the contrast either vinyl wrap (carbon fibre vinyl would look awesome IMO against the red Z) or just get it sprayed red to match your car....

Oh and re my Z... http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=88023 needless to say I'm a happy man!

Sorry Marlon re my comments about a hardtop being an add on - just an opinion .

As regards colour I would definitely get it sprayed red - the cost would be so worth it - imho it just doesn't work with contrasting colours .

Hope for your sake it is still available.

No worries gov, it took a while for them to grow on me - see my old thread
