Odd how I missed this upon inspecting the car but hey.

I just replied to your pm,still available but the passenger side has got one broken clip,it still fits and stays on with no problem.

just found the part number on realoem and found the replacement part listed on cooper BMW parts for £17 so, £50 having a LOL arn't they, when you can get 2 new ones for £35....

You have to slide them up a couple of mm then lift the lower edge away from the door to release the lock tab, then slide them down and off. Failing to do it correctly is what breaks the locking tab and causes them to fall off when you grab the handle.

When you say slide them up a few mm's, is there a faint clicking noise when do this when youve slid them far enough?

When I slide them they literally only slide a very small amount and is very hard/stiff to do so, moves 1-2mm and theres a faint click. I dont want to start lifting them away from the lower edge as you say if its not pushed up far enough resulting in breaking the locking tab. Just dont want to end up with a broken handle.
