For Sale – a used iPod connection kit for BMW Z4, the DICE I-BMW-T/5V plus extras.
This unit is no longer needed as I have upgraded to the Intravee, and please note that it does not work with the iPhone 4S. I have used it with the iPhone 3GS and numerous iPods up to the iPod Touch (3rd Generation).
The items include:
DICE I-BMW-T/5V unit
Connector cable (unit to CD changer harness)
Connector cable (unit to iPod/iPhone)
Connector cable (unit to SatNav – note that I did not need this cable for the Z4 SatNav unit. But supplied just in case)
Ashtray conversion – my own creation, using a pass-through iPod cable and an in-line aux cable.
This unit has been superseded by the DICE Mediabridge and is discontinued in the UK, although if you are after a cheap way of connecting an iPod and controlling tunes through the MFSW, this does the job. It can also work without the MFSW by mounting the iPod within reach – hence the ashtray unit
Note that the kit plugs into the BMW factory CD-changer harness, located in the trunk, (the CD-changer must be disconnected, and so you will lose the CD-changer functionality)
