I am afraid not. BMW Nordic said to me that is in customers own risk and there is no certainty that system is programmable after the upgrade...

Hi there!
My amp got fried over the weekend (see my WTB thread), and I'm looking for a new one. Seems you're the only person I've found so far that has one for sale.
Now, the problem is I'm in the States. If you'd be willing to ship it to this side of the pond (of course I'd arrange for it - my company has a Fedex account I can use) I'll be happy to buy it off you. Please let me know if you would be ok with this, or send me a PM or such so we can deal?

Apologies for thread hijack - Does this sit next to the battery in the boot as looks exactly like what I have?

One minute I thought I had a carver set-up, the next understood I didn't because I was missing the extra mode button on the radio - it's an Aug 05 3.0 SE - anyone help?

This does indeed sit next to the battery in the well in the boot. Is yours When you mean extra button the radio, which button do you mean? An option or physical button?

I was led to believe the carver system has various sound modes that are operated by a physical button on the head unit. I have this black box, sound is fab with subs (for a factory fit) but am told is unlikely to be the full carver set-up - all it says is 'Business CD' on the head unit.

That's exactly what mine says. Well, the front cover still says it, but it's dead now. I think if you have 10 speakers, and an option for DSP in the radio settings, apparently you have a Carver setup.
However, there's a 10 speaker setup that doesn't use a Carver amp, but that one will NOT have DSP settings in the radio.

Here's a link that explains it a bit: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=633106

don't be, for that price you could get better sounding set up .
If you can tell me how I can replace a head unit and Carver DSP amp for less that the cost of that amp alone, with a better sounding system, I'm all ears. My setup is shot right now due to damage. From my preliminary research, it's cheaper to find a second hand amp and head unit, than it is to replace them with alternatives.

This confirms I have the mid level "Hi-Fi" system, not the top spec carver "Top Hi-Fi" system even though it kicks out some decent sound. Now need to find someone with the carver to hear the difference...
