i would have loved the screen but its alittle to beat up for the cost imo.....

Beat up?? I personally don't think so - working screens are pretty hard to come by, the screen is perfect, the motor works perfectly and it's only really the top left corner that has scratch marks - where to be honest I've no idea what made those marks (was like it when I bought the car). The rest is fine after a quick wipe down with a baby wipe :D

Also, the rear panel that covers the 3 screw holes IS included and is also fine, it's just not in the pics

You say for the cost, but I haven't actually listed a price for the screen on its own - you're welcome to make me an offer!

Evening!

Is it possible to include the loom?

Thanks,

Jake

I haven't actually looked into how to remove it. if you or any one else can point me in the direction of what loom to remove I'll certainly look into. Assuming it's not part of anything else then I'll happily remove it (eg as long as it doesn't affect standard stereo usage if that makes sense. But from what someone else mentioned to me I don't believe it does)

As posted the other day, easy to remove. it's the one plugged into the monitor. Two wires terminate in the head unit and then it all goes back to the dvd drive with two multi plugs just behind the passenger seat to attach to main loom.

You'll get much more interest if you sell complete.

Awesome, if it's not needed by anything else then of course I'll remove it to include. Depending on how big of a job it is I'll give it a go Saturday.

Many thanks in advance Steve for the info on removing it :)

The good news is that the lovely Yvonne Strahovski is now in another TV show - The Handmaid's Tale

The bad news is that she's playing a dowdy wife, dressed in a sack

Holy f**k!!! :headbang: retro fitting is 1000 times easier with a separate loom than it is trying to remove this c**t

Gonna give it another couple of hours and if I still can't get it out it's gonna have to be a no.

Because it was in from factory it's f*****g wrapped to everything!!!!!!!

Right, sorry everyone - but sadly it's just not feasible to supply the loom. Because it was fitted factory standard it's wrapped up with every-f*****g-thing going.

It's attached to all the other wires - basically it's a combined harness, with combined termination points and everything. Even the fecking rear lights wiring are all wrapped with it. I've already spend best part of 6 hours and it's a nightmare.

The only way to do it is to quite literally strip the entire car down which would be a horrendous job I just don't have the time, or skills for it.

Clearly the separate BMW loom that people used to be able to buy would be the way forward as it's an independent harness.

Sorry to disappoint.

Sorry Jake, I tried, but the harness is wrapped and buried as a combined harness. There's no easy way to separate it. It even shares numerous termination points too.

The best I could offer to do is to simply cut the plugs off with as much cable as possible and you'd have to basically make a middle section re joining all the wires.

Pain in the arse for sure but at least it's Color coded and I'm sure there's wiring diagrams online.

Please let me know asap if you still have interest in it or if it's no good to you without the harness as I have others waiting for the screen atm

Cheers
