These are from a E38 7 series, but with the right adaptor braket could be made to fit other cars

On eBay but open to offers if any 1 is interested though

Anything is possible, personally I'd like to see a bit more about what would be required.

"could fit" and "right bracket" is still a bit open-ended.

This is the sort of project that you need to either find a trail blazed by someone else to tell you all about it, or need to do a lot of research:
What diameter of disks do they come from, thickness, offset, etc. Are they then suitable for a Z4?
How compatible with the existing master cylinder stroke and bore?
What shape and size of carrier will you use and who will machine it up (or is it a common concversion done before).

Just a few for starters, but doable I'm sure if you have access to or engineering skills.

Cj all very good points which either make this a great steal or an expensive pile of steel..
Cheers for confirming that

The brakes are ally btw!

Its not a direct fit to any bmw king pin apart from the e38's (unlike 8 series brembo's that fit on a E36 M3 kingpin)

No company makes off the shelf brackets but bespoke brackets could be made similar to page 2 of this http://forum.performancebmwmag.com/viewtopic.php?t=9468&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=56k+warning&start=15

I don't have the skills to make them fit my Zed myself or money to get an engineering firm 2 do it, hence they are for sale

Just a pun.. Take no offence.

But I would love to have some brembo brakes but reading above could potentally be alot of work maybe too much

Non taken, yea like wise! If i were a bit flusher then i would leave them in the garage and save some money and look at getting some made by an engineering firm, as it stands the brakes i have are fine and i need the money for a service in Jan! :headbang:

Just an update, I am doing this e38 conversion, and as I run a Machine Shop I have the means to make the brackets. If this goes well, if anyone is interested in buying the brackets as I will have the CNC program let me know.

Cheers,

Phil

I would be interested to see how you get on with this, what size disc are you planning on running?

I will be running the 334 discs on mine these are 30mm wide, however I might actually buy the 355mm also to see what they are like also for reference purposes only really, I only have the 2.5si so don't really need a larger disc, but I fancied a little project.

I have picked up some cheap callipers and did a bargain as the threads were stripped that hold them on to the hub, so I will re thread these to a larger thread and thread the adaptor to suit. I then have a quote to fully refurbish and spray them from a brake specialist, so I will have 'new' callipers for a steal!!

At my company we manufacture almost all Elise components and supply Mercedes AMG formula 1 components so we are a dab hand with automotive parts so these wont be an issue, its as long as the brake servo can cope which is my next investigation.

I will update as I go along on another thread and post a link here.

Cheers
Phil

Could be interested in this as well. I’ve yet to put my 330 kit on so could work out nicely. Make a thread in the discussion section and we can talk on a dedicated thread. This ones only 8 years old!

Sounds awesome. They look to be Brembo 40/44s so would actually be perfect for the ///M if they sweep the disc ok.
