Jesus Christ on a bike, 200 quid!
I'm gonna scan some of these, buy a 3D printer, some warehouse space and knock em out.
I'll be a squillionaire by Christmas.....

Let's go halves on the investment.
I'm in Holland so I'll handle European distribution, you do UK and channel Islands.
We need a company name. What about 'Ridiculously overpriced bits of flimsy plastic 'r us' ?

. . . start with them - much less design work, and they go for £100 a pair :o

I'm actually seriously quite tempted.
I've done, well I've commissioned some rapid prototyping previously. But i've used autocad and solidworks extensively in my formative engineering years.
The key to a decent object replication starts with a good 3d scan and i believe you can go down to micron tolerances these days via lazerscanning. However, for polymers i reckon .1mm tolerances would be good enough.
Next step would be to make sure the fit is good during the production phase and that the material used has acceptable rigidity, flex and colour-fastness.
So not much design work but would prob need to be tweaked in solidworks for hidden surfaces perhaps.
The more i think about this the more viable it seems.....lol. hmmmmm. Watch this space....

I had my prototypes printed in Eindhoven, so you are close by …

Theyre all over the place these days. 3d printing hasreally taken off, especially the domestic sector.
