You are all mad, much rather buy that new one for 600 Euros from BMW Germany and collect it myself.

And how much would the fuel and hotel ect be to do that?

Ah - but you can never see it like that.

It is a great road trip with as a result, a cheap hard top :D When planning a road trip, I don't really consider the costs as otherwise I would never attend a Scottish run or any run for that matter.

Ahh, tis a bargin..but what would the delivery be?

Delivery is free anywhere in Germany. Get it delivered to a hotel close at the border :D

I wish i knew how to read german so i could maybe buy this...but i dont have a clue..delivery, colour etc...

I had my order delivered to a company in Germany, and a fellow forum member got it to The Netherlands from there where I picked it up during a visit there.

The Euro is very good at the moment.. tempted to take a van over.. if I did, would anyone else want one to help me with fuel/tunnel costs?

Superimposed hardtops at the offer price.
Because of the storage period, the hardtops have stains,
with a normal car wash are removed.
Original MSRP was € 2,250
Color of the hardtop: Toledo Blue
We only offer the colors available.

BMW AG, Munich branch
Daimlerstraße 21 to 23
85 748 Garching Hochbrück

New and from a dealer.

Various colours, but none of the popular ones (Red - two flavours, Montego Blue, Toledo, some green).

Would most likely need a respray in the desired colour.

I don't want one as I can't see the use of them really, but if I did want one, I would pick it up and have at least a new one for a fraction of the price of a used one in the UK.

Must do the homework re respray costs though.

I saw a Bright red e85 with one in London & it looked great.. got me thinking a nicely Imola painted one might look fantastic, although It'd spend 9 months of the year in the garage, I might be really happy for the few days I look back at it..

I've emailed the seller in my best A-Level german

I'm guessing if you brought back a couple in a van though you'd have to pay VAT on entry?

They won't budge on price, even if I collected 5  Surprised at that, thought they'd at least drop 50e each for not paying carriage as it can't be cheap to send them. I guess as it's BMW AG maybe they have permanent couriers on contract.

Still tempted to get it delivered to somewhere like a church in Aachen, give them a donation to store it a day or so, then collect it in the van so it's cheaper than taking an /M across. Or I could do a lil Amsterdam roadtrip in the zed, & collect it a bit higher up :driving:

If he'd done a deal maybe, but do i want one? it's a grand I guess by the time it's back, painted and hanging from the garage roof. Just think on a bright colour it might look the nuts & highlight the CSLs & skirts, with less black & more red :D

Will watch that ebay auction closely

I got one of these in Febuary,,,, here is the post
