Spotted this on eBay - still scratching my head! Anybody seen this before, or know what the purpose of it is?!

Show's how the screen is mounted.

A fixed design I assume over the retractable version.

If anyone is intereseted, I have 2 of them brandnew in original boxes for sale.

You can mount a display into this console. Original it was made to mount the Philips Carin Navigation System.

You have to look for a nav oder tablet that fits exactly clean into this console.
For example my galaxy note 3 fits into this console.
I think, it would be a perfect solution, if anyone want to mount a tablet - like the solution, SkiPi develops.

Not over...
It's made for cars without the retractable nav. You have to cut a hole into the dashboard.
A templet (pattern) for the hole is included.

If I missunderstood your post - sorry.

That is not a good look!

 Thanks for clarifying that!

So I'm guessing the little hole in the bottom right is to allow the IR remote to work, like the one on the ashtray cover in that photo? I quite like it! As mentioned, good for those wanting to do a tablet install
