It has full BMW service history until the last service which I had carried out at a BMW Specialist (all ex-bmw guys) but can answer questions you ask them without having to look the answer up, unlike the useless guys at BMW Hull. I hold little value in a dealer sh, as long as the car has been looked after and serviced at a good specialist garage.

I've found its the people that know their cars, spend time on forums, learning the ins and outs, that don't tend to use dealerships, as they'd rather take the car to a specialist that often has more knowledgeable staff, and dont treat it like "just another beemer"...

Good luck with the search

i have also used Autologic who T2FFN refers to, they are excellent and as he said, all ex-BMW main dealer. They actually have a passion for what they do, rather than just getting hold of your cash.

Cheers easty, they're top guys, and Lee, one of the owners has a sweet 645 convertible :driving:

I know some people like to see full dealer history but to me, I'd rather see they've taken care of a car, and if that means using an independent, it just shows they care how the car is treated.

On a slight side note, when I wanted my key coding to raise/lower the roof from the keyfob, BMW Hull (shout out to you guys  ) told me this was NOT POSSIBLE!  Autologic however happily took the key and turned all the options on, flash, beep, roof, memory seat etc etc

Anyway, not had loads of interest in buying the car, I've had more emails asking about the lights, springs, wheels etc... :headbang: so I may end up keeping, which I'd love as the car is nigh on perfect, just puts a damper on buying any property.

They have done a few little things for me for free as well, re-coded a key when it stopped working, roof from key, beep when locking/unlocking etc etc. in fact before i had my z4 i had a 325ci msport with had a rattle at the rear, i just popped in as i was passing, they took the car in, put it on the ramps, diagnosed the problem, fitted a clamp and did it for absolutely nothing, and this was about 10 minutes before they were due to close on a saturday afternoon! ...imagine if i had gone to the main stealer, completely different story i bet. Lee used to have a Z4M roadster as well, he said it was a right beast !

I'm an unhappy man typing this, but I need to get a quick sale really, so price dropped to £10k, no offers, no messing around trying to haggle etc, come get a bargain and have a great summer in a gorgeous convertible. :driving:

I can be contacted on here or on 07986980502

Thanks

What a fantastic price, it MUST go now  or, you can always buy my car for £11500

Well I removed the advert from pistonheads weeks ago, so no surprise I haven't sold it yet, but with the weather turning for the better, time to re-advertise me thinks...

Still looking for 10k, :D

T2FFN,

I really hope now the nice weather is here you get your price. I just sold my 91k miles 04 Z4 3.0iSE 3 weeks ago and started at £9495. It was very tidy but not quite as nice as yours but had full dealer history (and 5 years of invoices). Similar spec, colour etc. I ended up getting a lot less than the starting price. I was told by a mate who owns a franchised dealer (not BMW) that the book price for ours with 91k miles was £7,150 trade and £8,500 private sale. For a car with 60k miles the trade price was £8,500 and the private sale £9,750.

Regrettably therefore I think you're asking too much even at £10k despite the fact your car looks amazing. I got virtually no interest when the price started with a 9 but when it started with an 8 I got quite a bit. I really hope you prove me wrong though ! good luck with the sale.

Hi

It is a very nice car and as an ex dealer in BMW's I would be impressed with the condition, although if its helps you may find the following useful:

-The service history is fine, no issues and does not affect the price or desirability as its full bmw and specilaist, which is a must with these cars
-The wheels and springs are specilaist and not standard, you'd actually get a quicker sale and more money to put it to standard and open up the target audience, mods put off alot of general buyers, even those wanting a bit of fun for the summer as its harder to sell on, you'd make extra money selling the mods seperately as they are desirable by enthusiasts.
-Current book price at that mileage is £7650 trade, £8365 private and £9675 dealer, the mods do not add value to book price, only if its has satnav(worth £500 extra), items like heated seats, electric seats, remote roofs dont actually add money to the book price I'm afraid but it does affect deisrability, it makes it harder to sell without these items in my years of experience with bm convertibles.
-Convertibles generally increase on book price by upto 3% on average during May to Oct, although rememeber every car drops in price every month.
-Auto's add about a grand to bmws, the reason is there are less of them, they need less maintenance over its life than a manual and cost £2k+ more at sale, you may think as a drivers car manual is more desirable and you'd be correct, although this doesn't affect the real value I'm afriad so auto's are worth more than manual's.

If you put it to standard you'd get £8350 all day long and probably over a grand for your mods, as it is by the book its not worth anymore unless you can find a keen enthusiast willing to pay more, cars are like houses, they are worth what people are prepared to pay.

As an example, a stunning Z4 sport on nice 18's with all the bits only done 35k on a late 53 place has just gone for £8010 on ebay, great car, infact gutted I missed the bid (cant get the dealer out my head lol) but that gives you a taste of the current values, I only paid £8k for mine and thats a 2004 with 65k on the clock, spotless although admittedly I need some nice wheels haha but thats all (£500 quid with tyres)and has full BMWSH, heated seats etc

Good luck with your sale, hope that helped, someone will get a really nice car looked after well by the pics!

He's dead right!!!

I'll do you a favour and go back to my VW roots and take those BBS LMs off your hands, and swap you for my (very desirable) OEM Epsilloids :)

Just happy to help mate ;)

Thanks for the detailed and helpful info, can't say I'd be anywhere near happy selling for under 9k though. :o

How much will my wallet benefit from such a trade? :poke:

Haha .....in terms of selling your car that would be a good trade as they are very popular with those wheels on so it would sell alot easier and maybe get one or two quid more as its more standard, I'd like a set of them for mine mmmmm epsilloids.......

Price reduced to 9200.

I'd like a quick sale as I'm moving in a week and have furniture to buy! :(

Amazingly, the car is still for sale! :o

I can't believe the little interest I've had in the car. The weather is perfect for Z4 motoring :driving:

I'd put it back to standard, you will get more overall for it, and it will sell easier.

I wouldn't buy a modified Z4.

Unbelievable that this car is not sold yet..

I've had about 4 calls, not a single viewing.

I get so many looks and comments, kids stop and look at it... yet no interest at all. Shocked.

I am after a set of your wheels, and am also selling my ellipsoids.

I agree with the comments above, the market is narrower for modded cars...if it were me i'd put it back standard and then re-advertise at a higher price and watch it sell easier!

I'd be willing to do a deal with you, could even deal on the lowering springs! lol. theres an advert with pics of my wheels if you want to have a looksie. :D

let me know mate :D

i would have thought this would have long gone?.

As for modded car comments, modded z4's will become more common as the z4 becomes cheaper and more accessible to more people. good luck with the sale though, think i said that last time round :poke:
