Hi,

As much as I've tried to convince my wife we need 2 Z4's, she's won & I'm (begrudgingly) selling our trusty steed.

This a link to the advert which is currently sitting on eBay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130982395306?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
Thanks.

Below is the text from the advert (having trouble getting images uploaded but I'll persist):

This is a great opportunity to drive a lot of car for not a lot of money!

For sale is my much loved BMW Z4 2.5 litre in Sterling Grey which I'm selling as I've upgraded to the new model. This is the most highly spec'd Z4 I have
ever come across with the following features:

Head turning Aerodynamic BMW body kit - results in an aggressive looking car with great road presence
M Sport cross spoke 18" alloy wheels
Built in BMW business sat nav system (i.e. the version with directions and arrows rather than maps) & computer showing temperature, miles left in tank, MPG etc
Black Oregon leather with brushed aluminium trim
Heated seats
Electric seats with 3 memory positions
Wind deflector
6 CD multi changer with HiFi sound speakers (the upgraded sound system)
Electric external mirrors
Air conditioning (needs recharging)
Xenon headlamps
Fitted mats

I originally purchased from the BMW dealership in Windsor and have owned and loved from new, using only Shell Vpower petrol!

Now for the bad news, the car has done 154,000 (motorway) miles however these have been 100% trouble free and with German engineering there is plenty of life left in her. The car has been carefully maintained either at the BMW dealership or more recently by an independent BMW mechanic. Recent maintenance includes two rear run flat tyres, new rear springs, new top mount and the next oil service (i.e. not the big one) is due in 4,000 miles.

Everything is in good working order, i.e. no trouble with the roof and she still drives absolutely beautifully - if my husband had his way we would keep this car over the new model! However, the outer rims of the alloys have corroded (this was apparently a BMW flaw but I realised too late to have repaired under warranty) so you'll either need to have them reconditioned or live with the character! The body and paint work is good but there are some nicks and scratches as you'd expect with a car of this age and mileage - have tried to show in photos. Internally it's nice and clean with some slight scuffing to the surface leather on the right hand side of the drivers seat. Some small chips in the windscreen too. I have also recently mislaid the spare key so she will come with the one and if I find the other then I will post to the new owner.

The car passed its MOT with flying colours in April with only the chip in the windscreen as an 'advisory' and it's taxed until the end of November.

Does not include the private plate as shown & has been transferred back to a standard 53 plate.

I will be extremely sad to see this car go as I have loved it to bits and hope it goes to a good new home!

You,ve shown some front joining up on a friday night just to sell so fairplay to you
Decent colour ,spec & cheap but high on the miles & man those wheels are not good , what offset are they ?

Friday 13th too, hope i've not made some sort of horrible forum etiquette faux pars without even realising it.
Apparently those wheels were prone to corrosion although by the time I'd come to do anything about it they were out of warranty.
I have no idea what the offset is, if there's a way to find out let me know & i'll put the details up tomorrow?

So in talking about 2 Z4s, are you buying or have you got another one? If so why not do a nice introductory post with pics in the Newbie forum

Was only asking as they don,t look right in the arches ? Especially for 18,s ? In the pics i would have said they were 16,s :?
Some spacers off "Machine monkey" would make all the difference to the stance

I recently got an sDrive 23i M Sport in Sapphire Black which is lovely, the trade in price offered by BMW for the old one bordered on insulting so I decided to sell privately. I've been putting it off for a while because I still really enjoy driving the older one, it feels more involving than the new one although the ride isn't quite as refined. I do need to sell the old one now, I can't put it off forever.

Hi, does anyone have any other thoughts? Am I asking too much or should I hold out a little longer?
I guess the mileage & alloys are probably putting people off which is a real shame. If anyone's had the same problems with those or similar cross-spoke split rims & could recommend a refurb company (preferably in the South East) it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The miles you cannot alter but the wheels you can quite easily ,
Personally i,m not convinced they do anything for the car & even refurbed may still put potential buyers off
Weigh up the refurb time & costs against bolting on a set overnight & selling the 18,s on afterwards ?
For comparison i have a set of newly refurbed OEM wheels from E46 M3 , staggered widths & correct offset for Z4
Will be putting in "For Sale" shortly
