Frozen side window

Guys

My window has been frozen on the drivers side for the last couple of mornings on my coupe. The door still opens even though the window doesn't drop the 2 mil it should. What is it that is frozen for the window not to drop. Very scared to close the door when its not dropped for fear of it smashing.

Cheers

I have been told to rub some vasaline on the rubber, havnt tried it yet , so I cannot comment if it is effective or not . Come to think of it I havnt had a problem with ice on the rubbers , Im wondering if its the autoglym tyre stuff that I treated all the rubber on the car with a few weeks back , may be worth a try.

Have just ordered some Gummi Plege which several people on the forum have recommended in other threads. Do a search for it on the interweb, sounds like it is perfect for the job and was used by BMW etc. I got some off ebay, just waiting for delivery.

For some reason i dont have this problem...

My windows were frozen shut yesterday so they didnt even slightly drop.. but my doors still open (well the door handle was also frozen but they moved evetually) :?

Yes but u Wil find if you feel the gap between the window and the rubber when ur in is bigger than normal and this will allow for more noise and cold! Not a huge prob in the z but the better Gladstone beetle convert was frozen on the inside of glass due to this! Hence I will be buying gumi pledge as well.

I think you might be right..... as a few weeks ago when it was cold and the windows frozed up i parked up... and a few days later washed my car and noticed water marks on the inside of the glass.

Maybe i need to reset my window positions now.

As they don't drop when u close door they sit further out than normal and that let's cold and possibly moisture in
