I think an Imola Red Coupe might respond well - where's Woody ?

Hey Rob, I'm still here alive and well :)

Been sooo busy with work & other commitments recently and unfortunately the forum has been put to one side :( Have almost 1000 unread topics, I want to read them all!!

Anyways, back on topic ^^^^ M3, I love it but I also love my Imola so I think I'll stick with my colour  Good spot though

I'd love that! Not a fan of matt black/ white they are so over done now... But matt red... Wow!

Guy on another BMW forum is currently doing an introductory offer of £850 for full wrap in any colour and finish including the frozen colours or a clear matt wrap to give your car a frozen finish. Based in London and would no doubt be a bit cheaper for a Z as the price was based on an e92.

Link? Out of interest....

Just had car mot'd and there was a stunning frozen white/silver m3

Wow!! Just wow! Serious want right there!!!!!

But the guy said its v different to my car in that the z4 is much more aggressive and that a gran could drive an m3

But still wanted one

He is right Woots your Zed is a far more exciting & involving car to drive, the M3 is incredibly ordinary at normal speeds & you only really get a thrill from it when you are really kicking its backside & pushing on & that's where it really rewards & it does feel great.

The Zed feels special regardless of what speed you are doing that's the difference. :driving:

The V8 M3 is more cruiser than bruiser I think, but it can do both & that is the appeal for most I think. :)

Black wheels

I'm with you on this.
Why take an amazing cast and polished wheel and hide all that texture and relief.
I feel the same way about car colour.
Especially on a car like the ZED, all those 'flame designed ' contours get lost under a coat of black.

It had to be said
:fuelfire:
Bumpy

I have a black Chev Malibu and while it looks great after a wash and wax ...
That gloss only lasts a day at the most.
Plus it's the only car Ive had that's been rear ended ..Three times !
Although those happened at the local high school in the traffic jamb of kids trying to escape after class.

Also was an m3csl that looked great but up close was really not loved :( shame

Really good question Woots, as a package the M3 feels like the complete article & it's very accomplished & a lovely place to be & feels solidly put together but for me personally I do miss the rawness & the more drama you get from driving the Zed & the fuel bills hurt in the M3 when in reality it isn't any quicker than the Zed.

I can easily see why some have gone back to a Z4M after a E92 M3 as the Zed ticks a hell of alot of boxes for the money & it just feels more of an event to drive for more of the time. :driving:

Well if u ever wanna swap for a month let me know!
After a few weeks I'd be over the shiny shiny moment :P
