Frozen paint finishes

Only found out it was coated with the self healing PPF by chance. Was considering getting it ceramic coated and enquired with the dealer I got it from, they contacted the original owner who contacted me. He had it collected from the dealership and professionally coated by a top end London retailer. I contacted them who said it was still covered by their guarantee. They said the full ceramic coat and PPF cost upwards of £5K. Just as well the dealership wasn’t aware of that when they sold it to me

Almost bought a frozen grey Z4. When I discovered at the time in 2021 that BMW’s own paintwork cover excluded frozen finishes, went for a different colour.
