Front wing removal advice

My job this weekend will be to replace my front wing, it's got some badly repaired dent and the paint is bad, so I got a 2nd hand replacement. This is much cheaper than preparing and respraying the wing alone.

So looking at all the info on replacing the wing it looks like I need to pop off the front bumper and sill. Can I just pop the end of these off or do I need to take them off completely?

I'm tempted to take the sill off anyway just to clean behind but not sure if this is really necessary. The more bits I take off the more risk of breaking plastic clips.

I've "assisted" with this job on my lad's zed. Not sure about taking the bumper fully off, but probably did. The sill didn't come off though. Couple of the bolts up by the door hinge were a right PITA.
Weather forecast looking better for the weekend

I've seen there are two bolts inside the wing and one at the top by the hinge. I assume a mix of extention arms and universal joints will be needed.

Couple of extensions on the ratchet will reach the inside bolts. No need to take the skirt or bumper off though. Just need to unclip the bumper bracket IIRC. Once you have the wing coming away from the top, you can reach down and free the clips from the side skirt if they don't pop off themselves.

Thanks, is that the plastic strip in between the wing and sill?

There's maybe 5 or 6 prongs that clip into the skirt but you can get to them if they're being stubborn.

Job done today and no broken clips. Thought it best to take the sill off and clean any dirt out (a lot considering how much I clean it).
Took a bit longer to get the panel gaps right by the door.

Colour match is very good considering its second hand.

I did make a mistake and undid the headlight screw which was right beneath the wing bolt doh!
