Front Tow Hook ???

Just curious...
With the collected wisdom of the Z4 Forum ..
How many here have ever used the front tow hook ?
Even the manual says its not for towing.
Im thinking it might be useful for initial recovery of the Zed ...

Im gonna fill it in on my M Bumper
And plan on getting stuck nose first...

Sometimes it's obligatory if you want to attend track days. At least some local circuits require the front hook to be in place while on track, for recovery purposes.

Track days and initial recovery to a transporter etc.
You can tow at your risk but BMW wouldn't recommend as if the tow attachment failed they BMW may be responsible.
I don't think any manufacturer would recommend towing. Not sure how its still allowed without a specialist tow rig in these days of 'risk assessment'

Cadwell Park insist on the tow eye to be in place before you are allowed on the track.... So yes, I have "used" it in that sense.
