Front Suspension - Shock Bumpstops

Evening all.

Well after 93K miles my Coupe is probably neglected in the "rubber" elements of the front suspension (not that its had any advisories or anything). Anyway over the weekend I bought the following;

1) 2 x new Bilstein B4 shocks
2) 2 x Meylee HD wishbones + Rear bushes
3) 2 x Meylee HD ARB drop links
4) 2 x Meylee HD front shock mounts.

I need to get hold of 2 x front ARB bushes, having looked online I cant really see any and a few searches on here suggests I should try Soper BMW for them.

I am also struggling to find replacement front shock bump stops (item 9 in the attached link): http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=DU52-EUR-02-2008-E86-BMW-Z4_30si&diagId=31_0648

Does anyone know where best to get these? I assumed E36/46 components would be the same but apparently not.

Thanks

When replacing my dampers with B8's recently I found they have internal bump stops already built into them so no need to worry, I'd assume B4's would be the same :thumbsup:

I also replaced all the associated nuts/bolts while at it, real OEM gives you the sizes of each

Front arbs are about £5 each OE, but poly worth considering.

Front bump stops shouldn't be required as they're under the gaiter.

Yes but the rears are separate springs and shocks, so as long as there is a gaiter there should be one under it at the front. The bilstein site might have more detail?

The information on the Bilstein site does not look to encouraging to me, as in the photo just shows the piston with no apparent gator or bump stop. An initial google search suggests on other forums that the shocks have built in bump stops and that no stop is needed.

I assume I am not the only one to try Bilstein B4's so if anyone can confirm it would be appreciated.

The following link: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/archive/index.php/t-478857.html suggests the B4's do not come with bump stops and that new ones will be needed.

Guess I will see what comes with the shocks and give Sopers a call if I need stops. Just spent £90 with Sopers on rear bushes for trailing arms (including the other bushes needed in that assembly) and front and rear ARB bushes.
