I ground out all the rust on mine and treated it with Jenolite Rust Converter first before spraying with Simoniz Tough Satin Black. Also sprayed the strut top aluminium cross-braces as they were flaking. They look just as good now20220329_173459.jpg20220329_162031.jpg20220329_173622.jpg

The short answer is yes. Unfortunately the slam panel itself is the top section of the front cross-member and that's a BIG job to remove. The only corrosion to speak of on mine was fairly superficial and on the top surfaces that are concealed by the plastic trim panel. If the whole of the cross-member was badly corroded I would have considered removing it and having it media blasted and powder coatedskmattwell said:Is it difficult to remove?patriot66 said:Did mine a couple of years back and it's definitely satin black.
