Front side light replacement-

Hi all got my bulbs tonight,just looking (did a quick search)behind the panel i presume its the big rectangle cover?-with a 'wire' holding it in place-i give it a tug but not wanting to break anything ive left it for the mo-does this pull down to gain access to the bulbs?-thanks (ive got the manual somewhere :roll: )
 
Pull the wire towards you, it's should move a couple of mm's then pull to the side

Sorry for being stoopid but i have give mine a few hard tugs :roll: :oops: (cue smutty remarks!)-and nothing-it wont budge-are they supposed to be this difficult to move?-thanks
 
the 2-3mm metal bar is the bit you pull, you should see the clips that are locking it inplace. runs almost horizontal across back of rectangular cover - enjoy scraping your knuckles!!
 
if you are struggling then it would be best to remove the wheel - you then will be able to see how the medal bar moves, but more so have more room to manoeuvre
 
No need for lubricant as its just a stiff retaining spring wire. just stretch and pull it out of the groove it's locked in and it will swing out the way.

The rear cover then just wriggles out. Note how you removed it to ease of refitting.

This really is all easy and once done you'll ask what the problem was...
