Front parking sensors

Had a quick search but couldn't find anything,

Has anyone here fitted parking sensors to the front bumper? I've bought kits and fitted them to my previous cars rear facing, but with the Z4 having such a long bonnet I thought it might be a useful addition? They seem to work quite well and look pretty standard when colour coded. They would be activated by a switch when needed so that they didn't go off randomly.

Any thoughts?

Def been covered a few times. BMW did an ugly version that consisted of 4 sensors on a number plate surround.

Others have fitted the silver strip type on the inside of the bumper and it worked well.

I haven't seen the strip type before, is that a universal kit? I've only used the two and four round sensor types that you drill into the bumper.

Beetlegav has front parking sensors on his, looks pretty good tbh, almost like they should have been there from factory.

I have them yeah. They don't work though
I don't think they are needed on the front personally, most of the time when parking front on you are approaching a kerb which it would never pick up on so you would crash anyway.

I could do with some on my front splitter. That could help actually.

Wow, £279??

I've always fitted the £25 maplins ones, they work well as long as your not reversing at 30mph
