Front Numberplate Fixings

My front number plate doesnt seem to like the curvature of the bumper and despite numerous sticky pad attempts it keeps coming off!!

Anyone got any ideas on how or what to use to ensure it stays in place?? Extra strength pads, screws??

I'm in danger of it dropping off at any moment...

That could be nasty!
I used to work at a graphic design company who did "show" plates, mainly for motorbikes, and they sometimes used velcro - really! But not sure if that would work on the Zed.

Same problem. since i changed my bumper i used the 3m number plate tape It's tape.

It's crap. the number plate has fallen off twice in 6 months.

Not sure what important gonna use next...

Greeno, there' are pads which are thicker which might accommodate the curvature better; 6mm thick Numberplate Fixers, I got some from Halfords last year IIRC. About £2-3 I think.

I've never had this problem with sticking plates on, in fact the opposite when I want to remove them!! I use the pads sent with the plates from FancyPlates, but they look like standard sticky pads?

As long as you clean both surfaces thoroughly it should stay on. I use Autoglymm Tar Remover

What about No More Nails - they do a removable version, for interior and exterior use, small very sticky pads that worked a treat on my badges... Till they got nicked

It's about £5 for a bunch of them - the permanent pads are covered I red plastic, the removable ones are yellow. Not very thick either so they will give you a nearly flush finish. I am going to try it on mine when I change my plates.

I used the sticky pads that came with my personalised number plates and they are brilliant.
I can only think that the OP's pads are past their 'use by date' and have lost their adhesive qualities.
