Since I've fitted my m front bumper I haven't fitted the front reg plate I love the clean look but how long can I get away without fitting it?
I now use my car daily so feel like I'm tempting fate every drive anyone else have experience not having a front plate?

I see your point, looks very stealth-like. How about a self adhesive (maybe slightly undersized) front plate as you will get done without one. But don't put it on the side, keep it in the middle

Magnetic plate is what I have, ideal for shows etc as it leaves no marks.

Magnetic sounds like a good idea. Honestly though I think it looks like a pensioner with it's teeth out. Probably just me. :) Maybe try a photo on a wider lens.

Video doesn't show on my phone I will check on my computer later, magnetic sounds interesting where did you get it from?

They are earth magnets, Used 12, 6 behind the bumper and six on the plate.

First time out with them I did 2,000 in 5 days without issue. Don't use superglue though as that does fail quickly as I found out. Used done contact adhesive and been fine since. Ones behind the bumper are held in place with a bit of silicone.

Your better off with no plate than a small one. It must of dropped off officer.
Its smaller than normal because its harder for you and cameras to read. Its called perverting the course of justice.
Im taking from experience btw only it was on a motorbike almost got 3 points for it. No plate and its £30 fine.

I agree it looks better- ran mine like this for a while until I had my personal plates made up. Sixspeed never had a plate on his m and always seemed to get away withbit

The E85 forum is a lot nicer then the E89. I was getting my ass handed to me and told I was "showing off" without my front plate.

Do it and have a good story. I've done it for 18 months but I will probably go ahead stick it on now.

2 years...so what you're saying is you've driven the car almost a hundred miles and only got pulled once? :P

They do look great without a plate but is it really worth the fine?
Is there not some sort of thing in place that if you get caught so many times with no plate they can take the reg number off you and issue you with a different reg?
I am sure I read this a while ago as most bikes had small plates but with it being £100 fine now its just not worth it.

Legal except 3D letters are now illegal.
I run a similar fully legal 5 digit sized plate in all our family cars. Much cleaner
