Front number plate location

It doesn't look like that anymore... It's worse ;)

But hey, my car has been featured in magazines and even made it onto the front cover of a newspaper aswel as a decent sized picture inside.
I did all the usual sheep mods when I first got the car, I wanted csl's etc but that's just seriously boring.

With the exception of that ride height (airbags?) I love the colour, new wheels arent immediately my cup of tea but I appreciate the car for what it is, I like unique

20160413_211152.jpgAnyway getting this back on track... got a plate made up but the letting is 60mm high and the space between letters is about 10 mm middle is 20mm so not "legal" so unsure whether to fit it and risk the fine if stopped...

I'm guessing you order it like that DanStarr - having cold feet?
TBH I've seen more blatant miss spacing and sizing.

A little I don't like breaking the law ha! Will offer it up when I've had the bumper resprayed and make the call then!

I think the most they will do is give you 7 days to correct it. They should have far more important things to concentrate on in todays society.

"Should" :headbang:

fire it on and carry the old one in the boot, that way you can switch it roadside if they want to be picky about it

So the time has come for the respray this week can't wait! It's only taken me 2 years to get round to it. It's so bad sometimes I just avoid the front bumper when I wash my car because it annoys me that much.. ha20160417_194858.jpg
All the bits...

I had my bumper resprayed recently and went with the magnetic option so I can remove at static shows etc.

Using Earth magnets plate stays on fine, done 2K in 5 days so no issues there. Had to remove for a short time though as the adhesive holing the magnet to the plate failed.

All sorted now though. :D

My thought is that it's illegal.

Looks barely better than a standard plate so why bother with the potential police hassle?

I don't like the plate as it looks a bit chavvy. We know it's a BMW by the 8 roundels located on the exterior

Otherwise, it looks great. Keep the plate that size but ditch the tacky badge and border.
